Cold-Pressed Juice

The juice produced by a cold pressed juicer (aka Masticating Juicer) is called Cold Pressed Juice. These juicers operate at a speed of 45 cycles per minute and use pressing/squeezing mechanism to produce juice. Traditional juicers use high-speed blades that rotate at 2000+ cycles per minute and separate pulp from juice which produces heat and causes important nutrient and enzyme loss.

Cold-pressed juice refers to juice that uses a hydraulic press to extract juice from fruit and vegetables, as opposed to other methods such as centrifugal or single auger.

Traditional juicers are designed to separate the water content of the fruits and vegetables. Hence you don’t get all the nutrients. As cold-pressed juices are extracted by pressing the fruits and vegetables, you get the most out of the produce.

It takes more than a kilo of fruits and vegetables to produce a 500ml Cold-Pressed Juice. Imagine eating that quantity raw?

We recommend making it a daily habit to take care of your nutrition needs either by doing it at home or by visiting our shop in Aurora!

Cold Pressed Juices are the easiest way to get your daily fruits and vegetables serves if you have a busy lifestyle.

We make our juices in our Aurora Shop! Small orders are made using a commercial cold-pressed juicer. Large orders are made using Industrial cold-pressed Juicer.

All vegetables and fruits are brushed/soaked in water before being used for juicing.

Soft fruits are put directly in a bag which is then pressed by two vertical plates.

Tougher fruits like carrots and beetroots go through the crusher and then the pressing method.

Everyday! So when you order a cold-pressed juice from us, you know it is fresh and are getting the full nutrition!

Seasonally we source as much as we can locally in Colorado.  Out of season our produce comes primarily from California and Texas.

We do not use any preservation process in the making of our juice.  Pasteurization adds heat, which destroys the raw quality and health benefits of our juice.  HPP or High Pressure Pascalization uses salt water and pressure to preserve juice. While this process does ensure a longer shelf life, we believe juice is best in its natural state, and  its nutritional content is most beneficial when made and consumed daily.

Cold Pressed Juices may last between 3-5 days or sometimes more. However, after day 1 the juices lose about 40% of their nutrition value. Having said that, the juice made with fast juicers are produced with fewer nutrients and lose about 40% of nutrition value within the first hour. We recommend getting your juices as fresh as possible.

BIG No! We don’t add water to any of our juices. They are all 100% pure and raw. Come and try our juices to taste the difference!

Yes, they are! We don’t use any products that contain gluten- just fruits and vegetables!

This question may sound a bit out of context but we do get asked. The answer is very simple. The best way to consume is by eating them raw. Some vegetables are best when steamed. However, if you are too busy to chew them raw then the next best way is to juice them using a masticating juicer. No time to juice yourself, then visit us in-store and we will take care of you.

We are always open to customer input on blends and other juice related suggestions; we love to hear from you!  Custom, off-menu juices are available (quantity requirements apply)- please contact us with your inquiry.

Smoothies

Our smoothies are made of blended whole fruits and vegetables, that requires the use of a blender. Juices are made by extracting only the liquid of a fruit or vegetable. A smoothie, on the other hand, typically contains the fruit or vegetable in its entirety, providing the additional health benefits of the roughage, skin, seeds, and other parts left out by juicing. Thus, a smoothie contains all the original fiber from the fruits and vegetables, while juice contains only the extracted liquid.

Smoothies have the added benefit that in addition to maintaining the fiber content they can also incorporate sources of solid protein and fat, making them a more macro-nutrient balanced meal and also promoting satiety.

We offer many different smoothies, including Fruit Smoothies: A smoothie made from fruits, specifically for their sweet flavor and Green Smoothies: Smoothies typically dark green in color due to their use of dark vegetable greens such as spinach.

We offer traditional smoothies such as BananaBerry along with some of our delicious specialty smoothies!

Hemp CBD

Hemp oil is a cannabis oil derived from industrial hemp, (the word cannabis is the Latin genus name) that has significant amounts of cannabidiol (CBD) contained within it. Our Hemp CBD products and extracts are derived from the leaves, stalks and flowers of industrial hemp, so they could be considered CBD-rich hemp oil, hemp derived CBD oil, CBD-rich cannabis oil, or simply hemp extracts. Again, cannabis doesn’t mean marijuana but is the genus name and general umbrella term which all forms of marijuana and hemp fall under. The form of cannabis we use for our hemp oil and extracts is industrial hemp; we do not sell marijuana.

CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol, an exciting cannabinoid that occurs naturally in cannabis. It is found in leaves, flowers, seeds, and the stalk of cannabis plants that include marijuana and hemp. CBD is among the more than 400 compounds that are found in cannabis. CBD is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and is being scientifically investigated for various reasons. Although, the most recognized constituent of cannabis is the cannabinoid known as THC, an intoxicating substance that is responsible for causing marijuana users to get high. CBD is a separate cannabinoid and isolated from THC, therefore CBD cannot get you high.

Many people use Hemp Oils and Hemp extracts for several health and wellness reasons. Preclinical trials over the past four decades have found that cannabinoids show promise as an:

Hemp Oil side effects are almost negligible. They are certainly nowhere near the often scary side-effects lists that are seen in many FDA approved pharmaceutical products! Perhaps a little stomach discomfort for those on high doses and some very low-level sedative effects. Hemp Oil produces no psychoactive effect so there is no high or particular concern about your ability to function normally.

CBD is thought to be a very safe substance, but patients taking other medications should check with their doctor about drug interactions, which are more likely when consuming high doses of single-molecule CBD products.

The Hemp Oil dosage will vary for each person depending on their needs and the conditions they are trying to alleviate. For some applications only a small CDB dose is required to achieve optimal results; in other cases, a higher dosage will be required.

No, Hemp Oil and or CBD in high dosages may incur mood or anxiety swings but it will not be lethal. CBD is known to be a very safe substance, but patients taking other medications should check with their doctor about drug interactions.

Just like humans, pets have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) and can benefit from a little pet CBD oil in their diets. CBD is non-toxic and does not require a prescription from a veterinarian.

Recent research on pet Hemp oil suggests that it may be useful in treating a number of conditions in cats and dogs just as it does in humans.

Hemp Oil can help our furry friends with pain, anxiety, depression, seizures, appetite, and nausea.

Hemp-derived CBD is not psychoactive and won’t make your pet high. It has no unpleasant side effects, and hemp products containing less than .3% THC are legal for sale in all 50 states. CBD from hemp is not regulated as a drug, has no known toxic level, and it is impossible to overdose.
